Short thought

In the first month… on the first day of the month, the Tabernacle was erected (40:17)

Seven times Moses erected the Mishkan and then dismantled it, presaging the seven Sanctuaries that would serve the Jewish people: the Tabernacle in the desert, those at Gilgal, Shiloh, Nov and Givon, and the First and Second Temples in Jerusalem. Seven times Moses dismantled the Tabernacle and then set it up again, so that the future falls of these Sanctuaries should not be permanent, but be followed by a rebuilding. Thus we are guaranteed that the destruction of the seventh Sanctuary will be followed by the building of the Third Temple, which shall never be destroyed.

(Rabbi Avraham Mordechai of Gur)

Humor

A beggar approached a well dressed gentleman on the street and asked him if he could spare two dollars.
The well-dressed gentleman asked the beggar,
“You are not going to throw it away in some card game, are you?” continued the gentleman. “No way, I don’t gamble,” answered the beggar.
“You wouldn’t waste the money at a golf course for greens fees, would you?” asked the man.
“Never,” said the beggar, “I don’t play golf.”
“You wouldn’t squander the money on fishing gear, flies, boots or rods, would you?” asked the man.
“Never,” said the beggar, “I don’t fish.”
Immediately, the man invited the beggar to his house for a wholesome home cooked meal. The beggar accepted eagerly.
While they were heading for the man’s house, the beggar cautiously asked, “Isn’t your wife going to be angry when she sees a guy like me at your table?”
“Probably,” said the man, “but it will be worth it. I want her to see how a guy turns out if he doesn’t fish, gamble or play golf!”
